The FSC label helps us make better purchasing decisions for our planet

These days, more and more of us are trying to make good choices when it comes to how we spend our money. In fact, 86% of people prefer products that don’t harm plants or animals. Because of this, you might be asking “How do I know if my wood is FSC certified?”. All it takes to know for sure is one simple action: look for the FSC label before you buy. It’s a tree with a check mark inside it, surrounded by a globe. Easy peasey.

You can shop from an FSC database filled with forest-friendly brands

Is FSC certification mandatory? No, it’s not a legal requirement. So, if you’ve made the decision to shop more ethically, it can be difficult to figure out where to begin. There are different levels of FSC certification

Now for the important bit. Is FSC wood really sustainable? There’s an easy way to tell. Brands can apply for three different types of label: FSC 100%, FSC Mix and FSC Recycled.
