Questions about Trenched White Primed Fire Door Lining with Intumescent Strips
A fire door lining forms part of the overall fire door opening. To comply with fire regulations all fire doors must be fitted with an appropriate lining along with intumescent strips in the correct locations in-line with the door's fire certificate.
Door linings are usually supplied as part of an internal frame set typically suitable for any type of room including kitchens and bathrooms. A set usually contains the head, jambs and potentially a sill or threshold, and sometimes comes with timber stops provided loose.
They often make installing faster, allowing you to install internal doors while providing a casing to remove the gap between the door and the stud frame. Door linings also preserve the door by hiding any rough edges, plasterboard or brickwork and preventing wear and tear.
