Engineered solid cores are made by taking strips of oak and binding them together to make an incredibly strong center. This is then topped with a layer of solid oak so that it looks like a solid oak door. The engineered core means our oak fire doors require much less maintenance and can be used anywhere in your home, even your bathroom and kitchen.

All of our oak fire doors are independently accredited under UK Building Regulations to be able to withstand the spread of fire and smoke. Our oak fire doors are rated FD30 which means they’re guaranteed to protect you, and your family, from fire and smoke for a minimum of thirty minutes.
